Suburban Communities of Denver

Most major cities have suburbs, and Denver is no exception.  The suburbs of Denver boast open space, great recreation facilities, and top-notch school systems. The best thing about Denver's suburbs is that they are close.  Very few commute times to Downtown Denver are longer than 45 minutes.

Aurora, to Denver's east side, has a population of over 300,000, and is the home of Buckley Air Force Base, the University of Colorado's Medical School at the Anschutz Campus, 3 major shopping centers, 2 school systems, Aurora Community College, and the city spans 3 counties.

Newer communities, like Highlands Ranch and Parker in Douglas County, are just 35  minutes from the City Center.  Broomfield, neatly situated halfway between Denver and Boulder to the northwest, boasts high tech and research parks.

The mountain suburbs of Evergreen and Conifer are freeway close to Denver, and provide that great Colorado feel that many people desire.
