A Realtor since 1978, Larry D. McGee's ambition and entrepreneurial skills have made him a successful agent and outstanding businessman. Larry understands that real estate is a lifestyle, and not just a job; this philosophy has influenced his career and is evident in his accomplishments within the real estate world. In addition to being a a career Realtor, Larry has become a pillar in the Denver real estate community. He owned his first brokerage in 1986, and managed a large corporate real estate office in Cherry Creek. In addition to serving as chairman of Metrolist, Inc., he has served as president of the Aurora Board of Realtors and the Colorado CRS Chapter #1. The Governor appointed him to Colorado's Housing Policy Task Force, and he has chaired state, local, and national committees within the real estate industry. As Principal Broker of The Berkshire Grop, Larry helps an exceptional group of professionals deliver superior real estate services to a broad client base.
A firm believer in the importance of knowledge, Larry is dedicated to personal and professional education. The rules of real estate are ever changing and Larry ensures that he has current information on the latest developments. He is a Certified Residential Specialist and has completed the rigorous requirements to obtain the Certified Residential Broker designation. Larry is well-respected for his wealth of knowledge, and his agents and clients depend on him for information and guidance.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Larry moved to Denver as a small child. His many years in the Mile High City have given him a unique understanding of Denver's culture and diversity that is invaluable to his clients. He has extensive knowledge of local neighborhood history, and understands the key components that make Denver what it is today. Before becoming an agent in 1979, Larry spent several years a a police officer. He also worked in banking and various governmental agencies before transitioning to real estate. His well-rounded career history contributes to his vast knowledge base and helps his clients make informed decisions on any facet of a real estate transaction.
Larry in interested in just about everything. An avid book-lover, he reads everything from fiction an biographies to history and philosophy. In his spare time, he plays a relaxing round of golf with his wife and business partner, Kristal Kraft. Larry also has a passion for travel. He and Kristal enjoyed a year-long cycling trip around the world in 2000. Larry and Kristal share six adult children, and reside in Lone Tree.
