DENVER REAL ESTATE QUESTION: I will be working at Fitzsimons and want to walk or ride my bike to work. Can you suggest a few close neighborhoods?

Two great choices for a neighborhood near Fitzsimons are Lowry and Stapleton. Both neighborhoods offer exciting real estate choices and have unique qualities. Whether you are looking for a town home or single family residence you will have lots to choose from! Below is some information on each neighborhood.

Lowry is made up of several smaller neighborhoods featuring a wide variety of architectural choices. Whether you like a more urban setting or find yourself leaning towards a renovated historical neighborhood, there is something for everyone to choose from in this culturally diverse area. There are more than 500 acres of parks and open space including playing fields, ice arenas, and a golf course. The Town Center District has a wide variety of shopping, restaurants, recreation, parks, offices, schools, and cultural attractions such as public art displays. Everything you can ask for is within walking distance of your home!

Stapleton Home for SaleStapleton has a wide variety of homes available to fit the price range of most buyers. Over 30% of its space is dedicated to parks, trails, hiking, and biking for those who love the outdoors and fresh air. There are several elementary and middle schools to choose from along with one main high school. Stapleton is the nation’s largest urban development. With two pools and 5 town centers, there is a wide variety of activities to keep you busy and all are within walking or biking distance from your home.

Whoever asked the question about living nearby Fitzsimons will be happy to know you can actually SEE the Fitzsimons Medical Campus from Stapleton. I think being able to ride a bike to work is a great way to commute. Living so close will make the trip that much more enjoyable!

Having moved to Stapleton (reluctantly - a whole other story) I have to say that I think it is a well planned community. Everything is convenient, the parks/greenspaces are abundant which is great for our dog and we don’t feel removed from our old neighborhood.
